08.07.2026. Mooring anchors for two cofferdams of the Lena Bridge are installed in the riverbed

VIS Group continues work on the main stage of construction of the Lena Bridge in Yakutia. On the right bank, the pile foundations for six piers have been completed, and work on two more piers is 95% complete.

Preparation for the installation of the cofferdams in the riverbed continues. Twelve mooring anchors have been installed, and dredging work in the bridge alignment is ongoing. A total of 68,000 m3 of soil has been removed from the riverbed.

The cofferdams, which will be designated in their positions, will allow work to begin on the construction of the cable-stayed bridge pylons. Notably, it will be the first bridge in the world built in the Arctic climate zone. The Lena Bridge is being constructed as part of the “Infrastructure for Life” national project. As the concessionaire, VIS Group is responsible for raising extra-budgetary funds, designing, constructing, and subsequently operating the bridge.
