Over 25 million trips were made by motorists on VIS Group roads in 2025

15.01.2026. Over 25 million trips were made by motorists on VIS Group roads in 2025

Demand for toll roads built and operated by VIS Group increased significantly in 2025. The increase in recorded trips ranged from 20% to 35%. The holding currently operates two toll roads: the Mytishchi Expressway in the Moscow Region and the Khabarovsk Bypass.

The Khabarovsk Bypass has seen the largest increase in traffic. Over the past year, 3.6 million vehicles traveled on this first expressway in the Russian Far East. The average daily traffic volume was 9,900 vehicles, a 35% increase from the previous year.

“By the end of January, the number of tolls paid since the opening of the road in 2022 will exceed 10 million, which is a good figure for a region with a population of less than 1.5 million people. We see that convenience and speed are becoming increasingly more important with every year. Passenger cars account for 82% of traffic. The maximum daily traffic last year was 15,000 vehicles, while at the start of operation, it did not exceed 6,000,” said Dmitry Simakov, First Deputy CEO of Transtoll, the operator company.

Contactless payment is also becoming increasingly popular among Khabarovsk residents. On average, 7% more drivers used transponders per day in 2025 than in 2024. Approximately 40% of heavy-duty truck drivers use this payment method.

More than 21 million trips were recorded on the Mytishchi Highway last year. Average daily traffic was 12,200 vehicles, with a peak of 34,000 trips recorded in September. The average monthly increase in traffic volume is 13%. As in Khabarovsk Region, the majority of road users are those traveling in passenger vehicles, accounting for 83%. 32% of trips are paid for using transponders.

VIS Group implements concession road projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from design to operation, which is handled by its own toll road operator, OOO Transtoll. The total length of roads the holding has already built and continues to build exceeds 100 km. In December 2025, the bridge over the Ob River in Novosibirsk opened to traffic. It is designed to handle 70,000 vehicles per day. The main route, over 5 km long, including two interchanges and a tunnel under the Trans-Siberian Railway, is currently free. Tolls will begin to be collected once all concession facilities are fully operational.
