The “National Priorities” autonomous non-profit organization established by the Russian government conducted a major press tour in Yakutia for federal media outlets. The focus is on existing facilities and those under construction within the framework of national projects and federal target programs, including those being implemented by VIS Group, which acted as a partner in organizing the journalists' trip.
During the introductory briefing, featuring Anatoly Semenov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), projects that shape the republic's future socioeconomic development were presented.
“The Lena Bridge is not only the dream of several generations of people in the republic, but also a project that will become the most powerful driver of economic development. It will connect Yakutsk to the federal highway network and create fundamentally new logistics routes. To understand the need for this infrastructure facility, it's enough to speak to any resident of the right-bank part of the republic, which is cut off from the capital with all its infrastructure and airport for 152 days a year,” noted Head of Corporate Communications at VIS Group Sergey Kozlovsky in his speech during the project presentation.
Construction Director Anton Krupnov discussed the scale of one of the largest construction projects in modern Russia, located on both banks of the Lena River. The volume of work already completed is estimated at over 20 billion rubles. In early June, the first cofferdam for the cable-stayed bridge pylon was installed, and dredging – one of the most complex stages of this unique project in the history of Russian bridge construction – is underway. The Arctic climate dictates the construction schedule and the technologies used. The Lena Bridge will be the world's first cable-stayed bridge built on permafrost in the Arctic climate zone.
VIS Group is one of the largest project investors in the Russian Far East. Almost half of its investment portfolio of 858 billion rubles is allocated to projects in the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District. New investment initiatives are currently being developed.
