Construction of a 2,100-student educational complex in the Orekhovaya Sopka microdistrict of Khabarovsk continues. Based on its technical specifications, it is currently the third-largest school in Russia and the largest in the Russian Far East. Work on the concrete foundation has been completed in all six sections, with a total of 1000 m³ of concrete poured.
Preliminary construction has already begun, with over 11,000 m³ of soil excavated for the school and over 4,000 m3 of sand laid. Specialists are currently preparing the surface for waterproofing. The first batch of 7,000 m³ of materials has been delivered to the site, and waterproofing work will begin when favorable weather conditions set in. Meanwhile, internal road slabs are being laid at the site, two tower cranes have been installed, and a technical water supply well has been commissioned.
The project is being implemented under a concession agreement between VIS Group and the Government of Khabarovsk Region as part of the “Youth and Children” national project. By attracting private investment, this rapidly growing and promising Khabarovsk neighborhood will receive the needed social infrastructure and become even more attractive for development. The new school will not only serve as an educational center – it will become a growth hub. The total floor area of the four-story building will exceed 38,000 m². The school will be divided into separate elementary, middle, and high school blocks, with a total of 84 classrooms. The project also includes spaces for public events, a stadium, and sports fields.
