VIS Group conducted another environmental conservation event as part of the concession project to build the Lena Bridge. Over 12 million peled fry were released into the Vilyui Reservoir in the Mirny District of Yakutia – the largest release carried out by the holding company as part of compensation measures.
Reproduction of aquatic biological resources is part of the obligations stipulated by the concession agreement between VIS Group and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). This release is the third, following the previous replenishments of the Siberian sturgeon and broad whitefish populations.
“The Lena Bridge is a unique engineering structure. Implementing such large-scale infrastructure projects requires a responsible approach to the environment. We are consistently implementing a range of environmental conservation and compensation measures as stipulated by the project. This includes the release of juvenile valuable fish species into the region's waters, reforestation work, and the transfer of compensation funds to the budget. This integrated approach helps minimize environmental impacts,” noted Artur Tarabukin, a representative of VIS Group.
Peled fry were released at the production facilities of OOO Chernyshevsky Fish Hatchery and the Glavrybvod Federal State Budgetary Institution.
