Thanks to the creation of a modern Museum-Historical Complex in the capital of the Trans-Baikal Territory, Chita will acquire a new culturally dominant element. The project will integrate exhibition, congress and leisure and entertainment spaces under one roof.

Besides, the center will allow exhibiting a significantly larger number of unique objects of art and culture than are currently on display in the city’s museums.

The complex with an area of more than 10,000 m2 will be created on the Chitinka River embankment by the Megapolis Sport complex. The four-story building with a basement will integrate exhibition, congress, and leisure and entertainment spaces.

A new type of multifunctional, technically equipped museum center will be created in Chita, which will also become a federal-level exhibition venue.

This will allow more exhibits to be presented: at the moment, residents and guests of the region see only 18% of the funds stored in the Trans-Baikal Territory, but in the future 50% of the funds will become accessible.

Social and economic effects:
  • Promotion of the region’s socio-cultural development;
  • Increased tourist flow to the regional capital;
  • Manifold increase in the number of historical and art exhibits, as well as the possibility of holding federal-level exhibitions;
  • Creation of an adjacent park and recreational zone with an area of over 10,000 m2.
