05.09.2026. “Generation of Victors” marathon held on the Khabarovsk Bypass

On September 5, the “Generation of Victors” marathon took place on the Khabarovsk Bypass – a high-speed highway built and operated by VIS Group under a concession agreement. The event was part of the celebrations marking the anniversary of the victory over militarist Japan and the end of World War II.

For one day, the highway served as the venue for a major event bringing together representatives of different generations. Over a thousand people took part in the sporting event, competing in races of various distances, including the classic 42.2 km marathon.

VIS Group established two special award categories – for the youngest and oldest marathon participants in order to recognize their drive to win, strength of character, and love of sport. The recipients were 74-year-old Zinaida Bazanova and 6-year-old Ilya Kremnev. Each winner received a 25,000-ruble certificate, presented by Sergey Kornienko, Head of the Regional Office of Transtoll (part of VIS Group), the highway’s operating company.

During the marathon, Transtoll ensured traffic safety along the entire route. A temporary closure of the Khabarovsk Bypass was arranged, and company specialists managed operational support for the event throughout the day. The day before, the road surface was thoroughly cleaned and washed with a special detergent to ensure no debris remained that could hinder the athletes during the race.

The Khabarovsk Bypass is one of the largest infrastructure projects in the Russian Far East implemented by VIS Group.
