The 10 millionth user of the Khabarovsk Bypass receives a car from VIS Group

05.02.2026. The 10 millionth user of the Khabarovsk Bypass receives a car from VIS Group

On February 5, the 10-millionth driver to travel along the Khabarovsk Bypass was registered. The first expressway in the Russian Far East was built under a concession agreement between VIS Group and the Government of Khabarovsk Reigon. The 27-kilometer highway, with 24 bridges and overpasses and five interchanges, was built under a public-private partnership and is now operational. It opened to traffic in July 2022. The new highway has become a supporting infrastructure for the development of adjacent territories and has diverted transit traffic from the regional capital.

“The demand for highways built under public-private partnerships is growing. VIS Group highways saw significant growth in traffic in 2025, with traffic volumes increasing by 20-35%. Khabarovsk Bypass saw the greatest growth. The attainment of the 10 million vehicle mark confirms that the infrastructure we've created has become an important element of the Khabarovsk Region’s transportation system,” noted VIS Group’s CEO Sergey Yudin.

In 2025, 3.6 million vehicles traveled along the highway, and the average daily traffic volume reached 9,900 vehicles, a 35% increase compared to the previous year. The peak daily traffic volume was 15,000 vehicles, compared to 6,000 at the start of operation. Passenger cars account for the majority of users, or 82%.

The highway's growing popularity is largely due to the consistent development of services and improved safety. With the support of the Khabarovsk Region Government, the speed limit for passenger cars was increased to 110 km/h, a contactless payment system with any Russian transponder was introduced, and an accident commissioner service was established.

Khabarovsk Mayor Sergey Kravchuk and Khabarovsk Region Minister of Transport and Roads Konstantin Kravtsov participated in today's ceremony. They noted the highway’s important role in reducing the burden on the city's road network of transit traffic. The regional government is currently considering extending the highway to the border crossing point with neighboring China that is currently under construction on Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island.

The milestone toll was registered at toll plaza No. 1. Khabarovsk residents Anna and Vladimir Dergacheva, parents of three, became the 10 millionth users. To celebrate this milestone, VIS Group’s CEO Sergey Yudin presented them with a Haval Jolion. According to Anna, the new car will be greatly appreciated by the family, as their current one had reached the end of its lifespan. The family runs a small business that requires a lot of travel around the city.

“We use the Khabarovsk Bypass constantly, as we live in the northern part of Khabarovsk and commute to Rakitnoye for work. The bypass significantly reduces travel time, and it's very convenient,” said the happy owner of the new car.

VIS Group also presented valuable gifts to other drivers in the “lucky ten” – prepaid transponders for contactless toll payments.

VIS Group implements road concession projects throughout their entire life cycle – from design and financing to construction and operation, which is provided by its own toll road operator, OOO Transtoll. The total length of roads built and under construction by the holding company exceeds 100 km. The Mytishchi High-Speed Chord in the Moscow Region opened to traffic in December 2024, and the main bridge over the Ob River in Novosibirsk opened to traffic at the end of last year.
