25.09.2026. Concrete pouring of foundation slabs begins at the school construction site in Khabarovsk

VIS Group has commenced pouring monolithic reinforced concrete foundation slabs for the school building in Khabarovsk’s Orekhovaya Sopka neighborhood. This is one of the largest social infrastructure projects in the Russian Far East being implemented through a concession agreement.

Work has begun on two of the future educational complex's six sections. By this stage, the concrete base has been laid across all sections, while waterproofing work, surface preparation, reinforcement, and formwork installation are nearing completion. Sixty-four specialists and eight units of specialized machinery are deployed at the construction site.

The new school will be the largest in the Russian Far East. The four-story educational complex, with a total area exceeding 39,000 m2, is designed to accommodate 2,100 students. It will house 84 classrooms, separate wings for primary, middle, and high school levels, multiple sports halls and auditoriums, and spaces for community events. A stadium and sports grounds are slated to be built on the premises.

The project is being implemented by VIS Group in partnership with the Khabarovsk Region Government under a concession agreement and the “Youth and Children” national project. The concession model enables the creation of modern social infrastructure using non-budgetary funds, addressing a specific issue for the regional capital: providing a rapidly growing neighborhood with the needed school seats.

The Group is executing the project on a turnkey basis, acting as both an investor and a general contractor; following construction, it will be responsible for the building's operation through 2038. The holding company carries out infrastructure projects using public-private partnership (PPP) mechanisms aligned with the country's key national priorities – ranging from transport infrastructure development to the creation of modern healthcare and educational facilities.
