24.09.2026. Schoolchildren learn how the Lena Bridge is being built

Second-grade students from the Tabaga Secondary School were taken on a field trip to the site of the future Lena Bridge. VIS Group specialists explained the new bridge's significance to the region, the progress of construction work, and the various professions involved in executing this large-scale project.

For safety reasons, the tour took place outside the active construction zone. The students were shown two construction sites located on the left bank of the river. At the first site, the third cofferdam – a specialized structure required for work within the riverbed – is currently being assembled. The second site houses administrative and amenity facilities, a rebar workshop, and a concrete plant where reinforcement cages and concrete for bored piles are produced. The tour was conducted by Artyom Kurteev, Deputy Head of the Regional Office at VIS Production Company, and Budimir Ivanov, an occupational health and industrial safety engineer.

As Alyona Mamzurina, head of the school’s primary education teachers’ association, noted, the students showed great interest during the field trip: “Our students are only in the second grade, so there is still a lot they don't know. The holding company's specialists explained everything in a very accessible way. The children didn't just listen; they asked questions that interested them. And when they got back to school, they told their friends about the trip – now everyone wants to visit the construction site.”

The project is being implemented under a concession agreement between the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and VIS Group as part of the “Infrastructure for Life” national project.
