Today, students from the Institute of Construction and Infrastructure at the Far Eastern State Transport University (FESTU) visited the construction site of the 2,100-seat school in the Orekhovaya Sopka neighborhood of Khabarovsk. They were given an introductory tour and an overview of how the work is organized. The opportunity to complete upcoming practical training directly at the project site, specifically in the fields of surveying and drainage systems, evoked particular interest.
The students also had the chance to speak directly with young professionals, recent graduates, and senior students already working at the site. Ilya Orlov, an employee of VIS Group and a fifth-year student specializing in the construction of unique structures at Pacific National University, addressed the group. He shared his personal experience of balancing work and studies and spoke about his initial steps in the profession.
VIS Group is the investor for the school project and is implementing it under a turnkey concession agreement, covering everything from construction to the building's future operation. Over the project's lifecycle, a wide range of specialists will be needed, including civil engineers, surveyors, cost estimators, and experts in utility systems, occupational health and safety, construction supervision, and facility management.
